Classroom Announcements

​WINTER MAP TESTING
Please remember that this test is NOT a part of your child’s grade, it is a tool used to track their progress. While this is not a test they can study for, there are things you can do to help them prepare for it!
 
You can:
-have a discussion with them about how they are competing with themselves to score higher than they did on the last test
-make sure they get a good night’s sleep the night before
-have them wake up on time the morning of to give them a relaxing start to their day
-give them a healthy breakfast on the morning of so their brains are fueled up and ready to go
 
Your child’s testing schedule is below:
Mon, January 14th            –             Language
Tues, January 22nd           –            Math
Mon, January 28th            –             Reading
 
If your child is absent on their testing day they will make it up on the Friday of that week or the week of February 4th.

​Mrs. Gavino

This is Minh Gavino's eighth year teaching 4th grade here at St. Paul School. Prior to her time here she has taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade in the Puyallup School District. Mrs. Gavino holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Washington and a Masters in Teaching with emphasis on elementary education and reading from Pacific Lutheran University. In her spare time she loves to travel, read, play board games, and spend time with her husband, sons, and two pups.
